Ask FASE NUEVE ↗Almost every case puts the processor, the graphics card and the power supply in the same box of air: heat from one walks into the next. The AIR 5400 splits them into three compartments with their own intake and exhaust.

The front chamber is designed for the 360 mm liquid cooling radiator. The AIO gets outside air, not the air the graphics card already warmed up.

Board and graphics card stay on show behind the curved glass, with up to 360 mm of card length and seven horizontal slots.

Down and behind: ATX unit up to 200 mm, storage and the cable knot, out of sight and out of the air path.
CORSAIR calls dual airflow ducts the two guides that take fresh air from the base to the graphics card. The three included fans push from below; the top takes three more or a 360 mm radiator to send the heat out.

Three 120 mm on top, three at the front, three in the base and one at the rear. Three come fitted; you decide the rest depending on what goes inside.
The case ships with filters. That is what CORSAIR publishes: they do not state a number of filters or their exact placement, so we do not make it up.
Two curved tempered-glass french-door panels at the front and left, with steel on the right side to hide the wiring.
The LX-R RGB run a reverse rotor: they look good from the side the air leaves, which is exactly the side on show in this case. They daisy-chain to the iCUE LINK System Hub, included in the box.

Each fan hooks to the next one and only one reaches the hub: no more three RGB plus three PWM cables per trio.
CORSAIR iCUE software drives the lighting and the speed curves. It is free manufacturer software for Windows.
The System Hub takes up to 24 iCUE LINK devices, so you can add the missing fans or an AIO from the same family.
CORSAIR left 134 mm of room behind the board and a pegboard-style tray: the ties go where you want them, not where the manufacturer drilled the hole.

Real room measured by CORSAIR for the cable channel. The bundle of a fully modular power supply fits without fighting the cover.
If you own a board with the connectors on the back (ASUS BTF, MSI Project Zero, GIGABYTE Stealth), this case supports them: CORSAIR states it.
One USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, plus combo audio. No USB-A at the front: check your accessories.
These are the measurements CORSAIR publishes. Compare them with what you already own: that is how you know whether your build fits.
| Graphics card | Up to 360 mm long |
|---|---|
| Air cooler | Up to 180 mm tall |
| Power supply | Up to 200 mm long, ATX form factor |
| Radiators | 360 mm top · 360 or 240 mm front · 360 or 240 mm bottom · 120 mm rear |
| Motherboard | Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX and E-ATX up to 305 x 277 mm |
| Slots | 7 horizontal |
CORSAIR states up to 360 mm. A 420 mm AIO does not fit this case: if that is your plan, look at another chassis.
The limit CORSAIR publishes is length (360 mm). Thickness depends on the card model; measure it first if yours is three slots or more.
Any ATX unit up to 200 mm fits. The Seasonic PRIME TX-1600 Noctua in this catalogue is 210 mm long: it does not fit this case.

The chassis splits the processor, the graphics card and motherboard, and the power supply with storage and cables into three compartments. Each area has its own intake and exhaust, so heat from one does not warm the others.
